Scott Noyse Comes to Southington! The Family Resource Center of Southington and the Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington were pleased to welcome Scott Noyes of Empowering Programs on Thursday, November 5, 2009. A group of parents and early childhood educators gathered at the YMCA Learning Center to hear Scott present on the topic of supporting positive social emotional development of young children. Scott has been working in the field of early childhood education as a preschool teacher for over twenty years. He now travels the country presenting to parents and professionals. The FRCS staff had seen him several times in the last few years, and was excited to bring him to Southington and share him with the community. The crowd was treated to an informative, interactive presentation with lots of opportunity for sharing and questions from the audience. Participants reported that they really enjoyed both the content and Scott’s style as a presenter. The FRCS and ECCS hope to have Scott join us again in the near future for another presentation.
“As a parent of a 3 year old who goes to preschool at the Learning Center, I want to thank you so much for bringing Scott Noyes to speak there! I attended last night and really got a lot out of his presentation. I think it is great that you helped to organize something so educational and helpful to parents and he was such a dynamic speaker that I was literally on the edge of my seat! I really appreciated the opportunity to hear him speak. The two hours flew by!” -Megan Hemingway
“Just wanted to let you know my staff really enjoyed the workshop - Scott's a great speaker.” -Michelle Dent, Cheshire Country Day School
