Stop by the ECCS Office and see the Executive Director, Joanne Kelleher. She can answer your questions about raising children here in town.
Children are welcome.
Use the parking lot in the back of the building and enter via the door under the giant “35”. The office is on the third floor. If you need the elevator, then call when you arrive for directions. 860- 385-1665.

Apple Harvest Festival Parade 2025

The Barnes Museum’s Trunk or Treat
🎃 Get ready for a Halloween celebration like no other! The Barnes Museum invites you to a thrilling evening filled with fun, fright, and family-friendly entertainment. Join us for our annual **Trunk or Treat** on October 19th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Event Highlights:
🍭 Trunk or Treat: Explore our specially decorated trunks and collect delicious treats in a safe and festive atmosphere. Be sure to come in your best Halloween costume and show off your spooky style!
🎃 Halloween Games and photo booth: Challenge your friends and family to a variety of entertaining Halloween games and check out our Halloween-themed photo backdrop!
🖌️ Craft Corner: Unleash your creativity at our craft corner, where you can make Halloween-themed crafts.
Free Admission: This event is entirely free and open to the public. It’s our way of spreading Halloween joy throughout the community!

Halloween in the Village
Come say “Hi” to the ECCS at the Annual Halloween in the Village event!
This is a fun and free event where children up to age 12, in costume, can go trick or treat at local businesses.
Preschool Showcase 2025
The Southington Library and Museum will hold their Preschool Showcase on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9:30 am – 12 pm
This gives parents of toddlers the opportunity to learn about preschool options before registration for PreK3 programs open over the winter.
The Showcase will be held in the Café Corner of the Library. Several preschools and childcare centers will attend, the ECCS will exhibit, and the Library will be hosting a craft. Stop by and visit us, no registration is necessary.
The Southington Lions Club will have their free KidSight screening at this event. The eye screening is done via a special camera, no contact is needed. More info is at HOME | Lions KidSight USA Foundation.
