Child Car Seat Safety Check Fall 2026

Date: September 26, 2026

Calendar House Senior Center

Vehicles inspected on a first-come, first-served basis at this free event.

Certified child passenger safety seat officers will:

· Check the car seat to see if it’s expired or recalled

· Obtain the height and weight of the child

· Adjust harness straps to fit the child before the installation occurs

· Install the seat while making sure to teach and answer questions

Any installation or usage issues identified during the car seat safety check will be corrected and the police will not be issuing tickets for car seat violations.

Apple Harvest Festival Parade 2026

Date: October 4, 2026

Start Time: 2 pm

The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington is marching in the 2026 Apple Harvest Festival Parade. Come join us! Everyone is welcome including young children – bring your stroller or wagon.

The parade steps off at 2 pm and we will gather by 1 pm. The rain date is Sunday, 10/11.

Halloween in the Village

Come say “Hi” to the ECCS at the Annual Halloween in the Village event! We will be located in the firehouse.

This is a fun and free event where children up to age 12, in costume, can go trick-or-treating at local businesses.
