Parents/guardians from across Southington, Plantsville, Marion, and Milldale, regardless of which elementary school their students will attend, are invited to this session to hear general information about the registration process for Southington Public Schools, the day-in-the-life of a kindergartner and how they can help prepare their child for school.
Presented by the Southington Public Schools. The ECCS will be attending and can help answer questions about preschool readiness and enrichment activities.
You do not need to pre-register for this event, just show up.
This session is for adults, you can leave your future kindergartner at home.
On-site registration starts at 6 pm, you will be asked to provide information about you and your child. The program will begin at 6:30 pm.
If school or evening activities are canceled on 1/27 the snow date is 1/29.

Hear what 3 and 4 year olds should be learning about reading, literacy and numeracy skills to be prepared for entering kindergarten in the Fall of 2020 or 2021. Presented by the ECCS and the Southington Public Schools.

This replaces the Kindergarten Readiness Workshops that were previously held in October.
This free family-friendly day promotes living a healthy lifestyle – from eating better, to learning about green energy, to physical/mental well-being and beyond! Local health practitioners and related services provide information about their practices while having the opportunity to answer questions from thousands of residents from across the region.
ECCS will be exhibiting among other speakers, demonstrations, and activities for all ages!
Join the ECCS for our next planning meeting. Note this is not an educational workshop and the focus will be on planning and current issues in the area of early childhood.
