Circle of Security Parenting Workshop (8 weekly sessions)
Circle of Security – Parenting™ (COSP™) is recommended for caregivers (parents, foster/adoptive parents, grandparents) of children 4 months through 6 years old. Register via Eventbrite.
COSP facilitators teach caregivers about the attachment system using an eight-chapter video-based series, asking reflective or discussion questions, and engaging participants in exercises.
Classes will be held weekly on Thursday mornings from September 22 through November 10 from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Calendar House. Childcare is not available. The end time may be adjusted to allow for nursery school pickup.
Attendees are asked to commit to the entire 8 week series (9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10). Full attendance is required to complete the program and receive the Certificate of Participation. Note a minimum of 6 participants must register for this class to be held.
Confidentiality is a requirement of all participants. Stories that are shared are not to be told outside the workshop sessions.
Due to our funding, priority will be given to Southington and Plantsville residents who can take this class at no charge.
