This free Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington workshop is appropriate for parents/guardians, childcare providers, teachers or anyone in the community interested in learning about language development and expansion.

The workshop overviews the typical patterns of language development in Preschool-Age children, including typical speech sound production and fluency concerns. Participants will learn how to expand and extend children’s utterances during a variety of hands-on activities incorporating age-appropriate classroom themes. Additional discussion about atypical language patterns and adaptations for children with special needs.

Presented by: Meredith L Bandish, M.A., CCC-SLP, founder of Communications Foundations, LLC.

Childcare providers will receive a certificate of attendance.

Free childcare is available for those who request it during registration.

Doors open for check-in at 6:00, the presentation starts at 6:30.
