ECCS Annual Meeting and Presentation

The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington (ECCS) will host a presentation about issues around Early Childhood in Southington during their Annual Meeting on Tuesday morning, May 15, 2018 at the Southington Library. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am. The program will run from 8 to 9 am.

The agenda will include presentations by David Obedzinski, President of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain and Joanne Kelleher, Director of the ECCS. Joanne will give an overview of the state of early childhood in Southington including birth rates, childcare slots, the number of children who have had a pre-school experience and school enrollment along with goals for the future. David will discuss the CFGNB’s First Years First program which provides support to the ECCS and the impact it has had on the community.

A brief election of the ECCS Board of Directors may also take place.  Community members who are interested in joining the Board can contact the ECCS Director.

There is no charge to attend. Please register so that breakfast can be planned.
