Infant American Sign Language for Southington Caregivers – 3-part series

These Infant Sign Language classes teach caregivers how to sign with their babies. Priority will be given to parents of deaf/hard-of-hearing children and then other Southington residents. Class size is limited.
This three-part series is being offered on Saturday 5/7/22, 5/14/22 and 5/21/22 from 9 am to 10 am. Video materials will be shared to reinforce what is learned. The 3 classes will cover bedtime routines/bath time, food/eating and playtime/activities.

The Caregiver-Infant ASL sessions will be taught by Mick Posner and Rachel Posner who provide consulting and advocacy services around issues related to the Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing at Posner Inclusion, LLC. They are dual-certified K-12 Deaf Education teachers, both in CT and nationwide through the Council on the Education of the Deaf (CED.) Mick is an ASL teacher for Conard High School, an ASL instructor at Southern Connecticut State University and has taught at ESPN, Manchester CC and Naugatuck Valley CC. https://www.facebook.com/posnerinclusion/
