Since 2016, the Southington Public School (SPS) District has embraced Emotional Intelligence (EI) methodologies to improve the mental health of students and faculty.

This free online webinar is to extend the community reach of these EI methodologies to the early childhood educators and staff in Southington’s childcare centers, nursery schools, youth camps, and family childhood providers.

The SPS is using the RULER Approach to Social and Emotional Learning, a school/district-wide approach, which was developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence (http://ei.yale.edu/).

Come hear an overview about this system, how it applies to younger children, and how it is being used with Southington students. Learn about the funding the Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington has received to bring additional RULER training to providers in town.

Wednesday, February 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
