State of Early Childhood in Southington Presentation
The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington (ECCS) will host a presentation on “Early Childhood in Southington” on Thursday morning, May 29, 2025 at the Southington Community Cultural Arts Center. Doors will open for networking at 7:30 am, breakfast will be served by 7:45 am. The program and discussion will run from 8 to 9:30 am.
Registration is requested by Friday, May 23rd so we can coordinate with the caterer.
There are some exciting changes happening as Connecticut restructures its early care and education programs. Early Start CT will be launched in July 2025 with two major components: 1) the consolidation of state funded child care programs and 2) the launch of a new statewide system of Local Governance Partners. The ECCS is in an excellent position to take on an expanded role in improving the town’s early care and education system through advocacy, outreach, professional development and cross systems activities.
