The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington has been selected by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood to be the Local Governance Partner for our community.
We are charged with convening a Community Table, “a collaborative space that serves as a neutral, inclusive forum where diverse organizations, parents, and stakeholders come together to engage in open dialogue, share insights, and work towards collective community goals” around the needs of the families and caregivers of young children in our town.

The Southington Public School System is holding a Kindergarten Information Session on Monday, March 9th, in person at DePaolo Middle School Auditorium for all parents/guardians who have children entering kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. If there is no school that day or early dismissal, then the snow date is 3/16/26.
Parents/guardians from across Southington, Plantsville, Marion, and Milldale, regardless of which elementary school their students will attend, are invited to this in-person session to hear about kindergarten and how registration works.
Registration starts at 5:30 pm, and the presentation will begin at 6 pm. There is no pre-registration required.
The ECCS will have an information table.
